About the Department

  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science B.Tech Course practice the students with their skills to execute Intelligent data analysis which is a key component in numerous real-world applications. During recent times, data science has emerged as one of the most high- growth, dynamic, energetic and gainful careers in technology.

  • Artificial Intelligence is the process of creating machines that can think like humans, or at least mimic human behavior in some way. Data science is the application of techniques from statistics, mathematics, computer programming and other fields to solve real-world problems using information technology.

  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is the current trend ruling the business world and it is highly paid career now. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a suitable course for those who would like to develop various intelligent business solutions. Big data solutions have changed the way how business models to be built and run. This study contributes much in manufacturing, e-commerce, banking, finance, transport and healthcare industry.

  • The curriculum assures to provide opportunities for students to explore a number of transdisciplinary specialization areas including Digital Reality, Visual Computing, Communications and Networking, Proficiency in Languages and cutting-edge Technologies pertaining to Data Sciences, Robotics, and smart IOT Projects.

    • Ms. Y.Jothi Priya, I year student of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science got Gold Medal in the Event of Taekwondo, Anna University Inter Zonal  Level Taekwondo Women Tournament  2023-2024 to be held at Government Engineering College, Bargur on 21.10.2023.
    • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science department faculty members are regularly participated in Faculty Development Programme, Conferences and Workshops in various Colleges.
    • Yearly more than 20 students are participating in Quiz Competition, Paper Presentation and Short Film Demonstration in various colleges and some of the students obtained first prize and second prizes.  
    • Most of the students participated in various sports events like Athletics, Hockey, Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Cricket, and Kabaddi in National level and obtained various prizes.
    • Each and every faculty members is assigned a group of 15 to 20 students, who acts as a Mentor in mentoring them during their period of study in this institution.
    • NPTEL local chapter is established for students and faculty members appearing for NPTEL online examinations.
    • All the students are undergoing skill development programs like Soft Skills, Communication Skills, Aptitude and local reasoning, Group Discussions and Technical Interview Skills.
    • Seminars, Workshops and Webinars by experts from both academic and industrial areas are assigned regularly.
